Kochu Bot Terms of Service
Rules and conditions governing the invite, integration, and usage of Kochu Discord Bot.
Last Updated: July 27, 2026
Governs all Discord servers hosting or interacting with Kochu Bot.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By adding, authorizing, or using Kochu Bot ("Kochu", "the Bot") in your Discord server, or by interacting with Kochu slash commands as a tournament participant or staff member, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, along with the main Esports Lens Terms of Service and Kochu Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not invite or use Kochu Bot in your Discord servers.
2 Permitted Usage & Core Features
Kochu Bot is designed strictly for competitive gaming automation and Discord server tournament management. Permitted functions include:
- Automated Coin Tosses: Executing fair, randomized coin flips for map picking, side selection, and match dispute resolutions.
- Team Role Assignment: Generating and managing tournament team roles for registered rosters.
- Match Voice Lobbies: Creating temporary voice channels for competing squads during scheduled match times.
- Lobby Pings & Announcements: Mentioning team captains and referees when match lobbies are ready.
3 Server Administrator Responsibilities
To ensure Kochu operates without error, server administrators who invite the bot agree to:
Grant Required Permissions
Maintain necessary bot permissions (`Manage Roles`, `Manage Channels`, `Send Messages`, `Embed Links`, `Mention @everyone / roles`, `Move Members`). Revoking required permissions will cause bot operations to fail.
Role Hierarchy Configuration
Position Kochu Bot's integration role above managed team roles in Discord Server Settings → Roles so that Kochu has permission to assign and modify team roles cleanly.
4 Prohibited Conduct & Misuse
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
Abuse & Exploitation
- Spamming bot slash commands or artificially flooding the job queue.
- Attempting to bypass API authentication, manipulate webhook headers, or access unauthorized bot endpoints.
- Using the bot to send abusive, deceptive, or malicious announcements to server members.
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or race conditions in coin toss triggers or match lobby setup.
5 Discord Terms Compliance
Kochu Bot operates under and fully complies with the Discord Developer Terms of Service and Discord Developer Policy. Users must also abide by the Discord Community Guidelines when interacting with the Bot.
6 Service Availability & Limitation of Liability
As-Is Basis: Kochu Bot is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, as bot functionality relies on Discord gateway connectivity, third-party infrastructure, and network conditions.
Limitation of Liability: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from bot downtime, Discord API rate-limiting, misconfigured server permissions, or third-party outages.
7 Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or block Kochu Bot access for any Discord server or user account found violating these terms, engaging in match-fixing, or attempting API abuse.
Server administrators may terminate bot usage at any time by kicking or banning Kochu Bot from their Discord server.
